Chief Financial Officer

Kathy Burgess is Dynamic’s Chief Financial Officer, with responsibility for all aspects of the company’s financial management, including implementing new business systems that enable process improvements. Kathy also heads the Human Resource functions – leading an innovative Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) to enhance efficiencies within teams and across departments and to support a cohesive and driven corporate culture. Additionally, Kathy is responsible for Purchasing, Program and Quality Management, executing ISO certification audits, supplier audits and internal audits.

Kathy is a collaborative CFO who has been responsible for driving transformation and growth in financial and manufacturing operations in multiple industries. She has a successful track record as an accomplished business executive, who brings a long history of experience and expertise in global talent strategy formulation, CEO succession planning, acquisition integration, financial turnarounds, growth strategies and risk management.

Previously, as Vice President of Finance, North America at MINTH Group — a tier 1 and 2 global automotive parts supplier — Kathy drove a financial and operational turn-around, as well as strategic expansion and growth planning for the region. Her leadership of KMB Advisors, a business consulting firm, focused on creative solutions to increase productivity, improve quality, reduce risk and improve profitability. As CFO for a large law firm in Detroit, Kathy used her knowledge of “lean” to create and implement lean processes in the financial area as well as technology solutions for other departments in the firm.

Kathy has also held several positions in financial management in the automotive industry—including Ford Motor Company, Meritor and Dana Holding Corporation, as well as holding the Program Director position at the Detroit Regional Chamber—leading the development and launch of their automotive trade association.

Kathy earned an MBA in finance and operations management from the University of Michigan. She serves as a Director of the State Board of Pharmacy for the State of Michigan and has been certified as a Board Governance Fellow by the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD). She is a member of the Finance Committee for the Michigan Women’s Foundation. She is Six Sigma Greenbelt certified and trained in lean manufacturing concepts. Kathy has also served as a Director and Finance Committee Chair and Audit Committee member on not-for-profit boards over the years.
